Black Hollyhocks
Black Hollyhocks
These striking, double black hollyhocks are quite stunning growing along the side of the Hoop House. There is nothing more fun than harvesting these blooms although you can easily get sidetracked look at each, impressive bloom. Nothing makes my heart beat faster than seeing the stunning bundle dye prints or the range of the dramatic purples, teals, periwinkle blue and slate greys from just a handful of blooms. The package contains 50g of black hollyhocks which will dye ~800g of fiber and for medium shades use 5% weight of fiber. All flowers are organically grown, hand harvested and dried in the Trout Lake summer heat. They come in a compostable package, just remove the tin tab, and return it to the soil.
