Julie Beeler conceived of the Bloom & Dye workshop series to grow her work and passion to benefit what she values most: curiosity, education, creativity, collaboration, community, and the environment.
Waucoma Bookstore and the Hood River Library are hosting authors Michael Beug and Julie Beeler on Wednesday, September 25th at 6pm at the Hood River Library for discussion of each of their books: Beug's Mushrooms of Cascadia (an illustrated key to identifying the mushrooms of the Cascadian bioregion, featuring 1,000-plus full-color photographs and more than 3,000 species) and Beeler's The Mushroom Color Atlas (equal parts art book, field guide, and color distillation workshop, this work is a comprehensive primer on the universe of colors lurking inside fungi).
