Join me at the Olympia Weavers Guild to spend a day playing with indigo in all its forms and reveling in the magic of blue, from fresh leaf extraction to dips into the famed indigo vats. I will lead you through the process of dyeing a variety of mini skeins for weaving, dipping diverse textile fabrics and printing with indigo pigment. Plus everyone will be able to try their hand at making their own shibori indigo cotton kierchief. Each participant will receive a craft notebook with instructions on how to make their own indigo vat so they can continue the experiments at home.
