Sunday, September 22 | 10am-4pm | Trout Lake, WA
Join instructors Julie Beeler and Kathy O’Hern for a day of learning how to create natural dyes and eco prints with local plants to design a beautiful silk table runner. We will spend the morning creating natural dye baths from materials grown at Bloom & Dye flower farm in Trout Lake. We will play with different Japanese shibori techniques to create design patterns to use as your base for eco printing. The afternoon will be filled with designing your table runner with local plants to create a richly colored silk table runner with leaves and flowers. While the table runners are in the steamer we will create custom eco print cards for you to take home along with your silk table runner.
This workshop benefits the Blue Zone Project, which is a community wide well-being improvement initiative and $40 of the fee will be donated to them.
*This workshop requires a minimum of 8 participants to sign up otherwise it will be cancelled and a refund will be sent.
